ISO 9001 Quality Management System
A quick overview of the standard
1.
Process approach
2.
Document, document, document
The standard states requirements for QMS such as documentation, planning etc., defines the responsibilities of the management, resource management, quality of work environment, analysis of QMS through corrective processes like internal audits etc.
3.
Continual improvement
The standard emphasizes continued improvement by iterative process of applying QMS to every action/process, analyzing the output, reviewing the organizational structure, responsibilities and procedures, and modifying it to improve quality and efficiency.
4.
Invest in yourself
Getting certified in ISO 9001: 2015 is more of an investment towards company’s operational efficiency, product/service quality and credibility than just a certification to drag into a company’s profile. If QMS is not exercised in the organization, certifications would not lift the business value.
